Unravels the Truth
Simon Maslen hoped for an uncomplicated life after quitting the legal profession and moving to a small farm on a remote island. When dark powers discover he may ruin a long-term plan against humankind, they seize the opportunity to have him neutralised after an unguarded comment made online is deemed offensive.
A secretive stranger’s night-time visit brings suspicious news and a warning of imminent arrest. Simon has to decide what’s true and whether or not to leave the island. After an unusual coincidence pressures him to accept the company of a woman he hardly knows, he faces relentless opposition from spiritual forces he doesn’t even believe exist.
The Scene and Unseen is a gripping debut, a story of faith, survival and the collision between an ordinary man and extraordinary, unseen forces working against him.

The people behind Spencerprises
Curiosity made visible, in the writing of Laurence Spencer, and in the words and art of Deborah Spencer.
Laurence Spencer
Author • Mechanical Engineer • ACADEMIC
Meet the Mind Behind the Mystery.
Laurence Spencer spent his working career as a mechanical engineer, bringing rigour, precision and a restless curiosity to everything he turned his attention to. His academic work, including a PhD focused on rural poverty in the developing world, took him far from the drawing board and into the realities of how people actually live.
It is perhaps that breadth of experience, engineering and academia, the technical and the deeply human, that gives his fiction its particular texture. The Scene and Unseen is his debut novel, the first in the Maslen Series.

The Art of Spencerprises
Original Works
By Deborah Spencer
Every painting begins in the same place, somewhere between what the eye catches and what the mind quietly holds onto. Deborah Spencer works in that space.
A painter and a writer whose creative work carries atmosphere the way a room carries memory, Deborah brings to her art the same quality that runs through everything Spencerprises creates, an attentiveness to what lies just beneath the visible surface.
Her work stands entirely on its own. It doesn’t illustrate, it doesn’t explain. It simply invites you to stay a little longer and look a little closer.
